Potential Playoff Based on BCS Formula (2016 Week 3)

The Playoff below is based on last years rules for BCS Bowl Game inclusion.  It takes into consideration teams outside of the P5 if they are ranked in the top 12 or top 16 (if that is higher than any P5 Conference Champion).  Notre Dame would also be excluded because they are not in the top 8.  As it turns out, if we finished the season today, the top 8 teams would include the current 1st place team from the P5 Conferences and 3 at large teams.

BIG: (2) Ohio St, (4) Michigan, (6) Wisconsin
ACC: (3) Clemson, (5) Louisville
SEC:  (1) Alabama
Pac 12:  (7) Washington

I am making an assumption that if there were a committee that was seeding teams they would consider if any of the included teams had played in the past.  In this case I swapped Michigan for Clemson so that we don't have to watch a rematch.  I picked these two instead of Louisville / Wisconsin because there are only .004 points difference between the two vs Louisville at almost a full point.

(1) Alabama
(8) Western Michigan
(3) Clemson
(7) Wisconson
(4) Michigan
(5) Louisville
(2) Ohio St
(7) Washington

The Coaches Poll involves 61 voters. Each voter ranks the Top 25. The #1 team on each ballot will receive 25 points, the #2 team will receive 24 points, and so on. This is why the teams in the "receiving votes" category will have point totals. The BCS takes the number of points for each team, and divides them by 1525 which is the number of points a team would have if they were ranked #1 on all the ballots.
The AP Poll involves 63 voters. The process is the same as the Coaches Poll, except the number of points in the AP Poll for each team are divided by 1575.
The Computer Rankings: a Top 25 is determined for each computer poll (described below). The #1 team on each ballot will receive 25 points, the #2 team will receive 24 points, and so on. The lowest and highest computer rankings for each team are thrown out. The remaining points are added together, and divided by 100, which is the number of points a team would have if they were ranked #1 on the remaining 4 computer rankings. As you would expect, the exact methodology behind specific computer polls is sometimes a guarded secret, but here's what we know about each:
